OV Artworks Studio is a division of Opportunity Village, born from the Boyd Gaming Fine & Performing Arts Program at Opportunity Village – a nonprofit organization proudly serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 70 years. Since 1954, Opportunity Village has been dedicated to helping people discover the best version of themselves. Through a wide array of programs, including workforce development, community employment, inclusive housing, arts, and social recreation, Opportunity Village empowers people to forge new friendships, explore career opportunities, gain independence, and embrace their passions. 

The Boyd Gaming Fine & Performing Arts Program serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in music, dance, theater, and visual arts and is the largest, most progressive fine arts program for people with disabilities in Nevada. The program was designed to increase people’s awareness of the arts, support their creative passions, and offer individualized and group training. The program promotes self-expression, social interaction, and develops peer relationships. Participants can showcase their visual artwork for exhibition and sale through OV Artworks Studio, and perform on the stage at Opportunity Village and community events throughout the year.  

At OV Artworks Studio, we believe that everyone has a unique artistic voice waiting to be discovered. Our studio provides a nurturing environment where artists with disabilities work side by side with experienced mentors, guiding them through each step of the creative process – from the initial spark of an idea to the production and packaging of their final work. Through this individualized journey, artists refine their skills, explore new techniques, and earn income, gaining both independence and empowerment.
